Work on your Illuminated Manuscript.

Brainstorm ideas for ways to get creative with it.

Reread your essay for errors.  Jot notes in the margins if you'd like peer feedback on something.

Analyze the Model essay for transitions and domain-specific vocabulary.

Revise your own essay to incorporate skillful transitions and domain-specific vocabulary

Launch the Vacation Reading Assignment.

Homework:
-Finish editing your Final Draft.  Print it prior to the start of class tomorrow.
-Read tonight for your VRA and get it signed and dated by the adult watching you read.
-Finish your Illuminated Manuscript project by WEDNESDAY:

  • Complete the summary for Section 5, 
  • Highlight or underline NEON words/phrases, 
  • consider binding it in a creative way.

Have missing tests/assignments? Still need to meet your Q3 AR goal? This post is for YOU!

I was imagining that the district would reset the dates for AR, the end of third quarter, and the grading deadlines, so that we could deal with AR tests, absent work & make-up tests in person once we were back in school. It appears that I was wrong. (*gasp*) At this time, it appears that all district deadlines will stay the same.  That means that Q3 ends on Tuesday, March 24, and Q4 begins on Wednesday, March 25.  It also means I need to finalize grades as soon as possible.  To that end, I will not be adding any new test or assignment columns. (There were just too many absences during the last week we were together to do it any other way.)  If you have work that has a zero at this point, you should keep reading.
