Turn in your Crash Course World History Video notes Study time (10 minutes) SS Lesson 9 Test Watch Pygmalion : In what ways are the director/actors faithful to the play & how do they depart from the play? Homework: Complete your Vacation Reading Assignment each day over break.  Read books you like & read regularly.  Keep up with your log. Consider restocking on school supplies over winter break.  Do you need binder paper? A new binder? Post-It flags? Highlighters? Colored pencils? Good erasers? Nice blue or black ink pens? Skinny markers/correcting pens? Mechanical pencils with lead? A pencil sharpener that holds the pencil shavings? Have a wonderful vacation.  I hope it's full of rest, fun, and good books.

Using your resources (textbook, workbook, Quizlet, flash cards, project), quiz your partner on Lesson 9 in preparation for tomorrow's test. **(Note: If you are going to be absent tomorrow, take the test THIS PERIOD.) Turn in SS project with self-score on rubric Take out your VRA log and begin a reading session.  Make sure you have enough books to get to your desired grade. Complete a VRA session tonight and get it signed off by a parent or guardian.

Reread your essay. If you notice small errors, fix them using a pen & white-out.  If you notice large errors, reprint. Turn in your essay and put your initials on the roster next to your name. Time to work on your Illuminated Manuscript project or study for the SS Lesson 9 Test on Thursday. Complete today's handout as you watch this video (feel free to turn on captions and make it full screen): When you are done, keep your video notes until Thursday's test & start a Vacation Reading Assignment (VRA) session by entering the page number, date, and time on your log. Get it signed off by Ms. EL when you finish. Reread your essay for errors.  Jot notes in the margins if you'd like peer feedback on something. Analyze the Model essay for transitions and domain-specific vocabulary. Revise your own essay to incorporate skillful transitions and domain-specific vocabulary Launch the Vacation Reading Assignment. Homework: -Finish editing your Final Draft.  Print it prior to the start of class tomorrow. -Read tonight for your VRA and get it signed and dated by the adult watching you read. -Finish your Illuminated Manuscript project by WEDNESDAY: Complete the summary for Section 5,  Highlight or underline NEON words/phrases,  consider binding it in a creative way.

Pass up the printed copy of your essay. Read or go to the library and take a test ( Pygmalion or other?), check out books, or renew/return overdue items (10 min.) Set up your writing folder: Writing Improvement Tracker A Long Walk to Water Essay Any parts of your Illuminated Manuscript project that you want to leave here. Re-read your strategies for improvement.  Make a plan for how/when to follow through. Reread your own Pygmalion essay.  What are your steps? What are your stars? Where do you want more feedback? Peer Editing based on the items you wanted help with. When you're done, work on improving your own essay. Time to work on your Illuminated Manuscript project.
