NOTE: At the beginning of 5th and 6th periods, we will meet in the library for library orientation.

On the way in, pick up a copy of "PBIS: Academics"

Learning Intention:
Get to know course expectations.
Produce interesting, detail-filled vignette writing.
Understand library policies and procedures.

Success Criteria:
I will know I've been successful if I:
can explain the significant aspects of the course to my back to back/face to face partner,
can explain the library policies and procedures to my assigned partner,
and can produce a series of vignettes using Show, Not Tell writing about my life in the Snapshot Autobiography project.

Pass Up: Signed Academic Integrity Policy

Copy down your homework: (it's always due the next day unless otherwise noted)

  • Finish all of Part I of your Snapshot Autobiography Project--remember that the vignettes should still be rough drafts at this point.
  • Complete Part II of your Snapshot Autobiography Project by Wednesday.
  • Complete the worksheet titled "PBIS: Academics"
  • Continue reading the good book you started this weekend.

Review Class Expectations: Each Other

Find a place in your writing from Friday/the weekend where you SHOWED instead of telling.  Read it out loud to your partner.
